FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
$375 of the TOTAL PROGRAM COST paid by each STUDENT shall be deemed the Program Administration Fee, also referred to as the Contract Administration Fee. THIS FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE, regardless of the reason for a STUDENT withdrawal from the PROGRAM. This fee goes to cover up-front administrative overhead costs that include but are not limited to enrollment and registration processing, insurance coverage and student supplies. It also covers additional administrative costs such as facility operations, cancellation processing, DORA-BON reporting, and, to compensate for the relinquishment of a seat that could have been filled by another paying student. Most of these costs occur whether or not a student completes the program and such debts must therefore be covered by the program. Without this system in place, our tuition would be hundreds of dollars higher than it presently is...and we proudly maintain one of the lowest tuitions in the State!
Although the course is not that difficult, it does require dedication and the ability to listen and learn. In particular, ALL STUDENTS must be able to understand, speak, read and write using the English language because all aspects of instruction are provided using ONLY the English language. The textbook reads at about a 9th or 10th grade level and reading assignments occur daily as do pop-quizzes and brief multi-choice tests. Homework assignments are also issued at times. These quizzes and tests are used to evaluate performance and competency, as is attendance and attitude. This is important and necessary because our graduates may very well be the ones taking care of our moms and dads...or even us someday! We emphasize teamwork and compassion and we try to make the learning process fun. However, we teach a great deal of information in a relatively short period of time so dead-beats, goof-offs, jokers, trouble-makers and lazy-butts NEED NOT APPLY. If your not willing to work for it...its not going to happen! After all, most of our students want to be here and have paid hard earned money to take the course! A typical high school or college student will do well, even if they only ever got Bs & Cs. On occassion, we do issue a FAIL status to a student as determined by a "minimum standard" that must be met. . .and because it is a standard, we will not bend the rules for anyone, regardless of their story. . .and believe me, we've heard them all!
That's our story and we're sticking to it! Afterall, our reputation and State Board pass rates speak for themselves!
