I completed a CNA training course over two years ago but NEVER TOOK the state exams for certification. What should I do next?
Contact Pearson-Vue or the Colorado State Board of Nursing for additional guidance (link provided below). A Proof-of-Training issued by the Front Range Nurse Aide Training Program is only valid for 24 months and only for graduates who have completed our ENTIRE course.
I am presently an EMT (or Paramedic). Am I eligible to take the CNA exam WITHOUT COMPLETING a CNA training program?
NO... the Colorado State Board of Nursing requires that a CNA training program (or higher level nursing program) must be completed in order to be eligible to take the exam because many CNA skills and knowledge requirements are different from that of an EMT. However, your EMT skills can give you an edge and you may be able to challenge parts of the CNA training program. Contact the Colorado State Board of Nursing for additional guidance (link provided below).
I took an "on-line" internet based CNA training course but have not yet taken any state exams to become a CNA. What is my status?
You are NOT ELIGIBLE to take the "Colorado State Nurse Aide Competency and Evaluation exam" (original certificate by exam) because on-line internet training does not include the "supervised" skills training or actual hands-on "clinical" training that is provided by Colorado state approved nurse aide training programs. You will therefore need to enroll in and complete a Colorado state approved nurse aide training program. Contact the Colorado State Board of Nursing to obtain additional guidance (link provided below) or contact us to enroll in the Front Range Nurse Aide Training Program.
