THE FRONT RANGE NURSE AIDE TRAINING PROGRAMS
Our day course runs for approximately 4 weeks and includes 104 hours of lecture/instruction, skills lab training and "hands-on" clinical training. The total program cost varies depending on the payment option selected (click on the orange buttons at left). Although we do offer a short term payment plan, we do not offer financing.
Our evening course runs for approximately 4.5 weeks and provides the same technical instruction as the day course, including "hands-on" clinical training. The total program cost varies depending on the payment option selected (click on the orange buttons at left). Although we do offer a short term payment plan, we do not offer financing.
The total cost of our programs includes the textbook, required supplies and a loaner training smock. We do recommend that each student have a black or white pair of slacks and comfortable shoes for clinical training. Although not required, it is also highly recommended that each student obtain their own basic blood pressure monitoring kit (can be purchased through program).
This course is intensive and sometimes students do not pass for one reason or another. If at the end of the program a student has failed one or both final exams, retesting will be permitted if their Overall Program Score is 840/1000 of higher. If the score is lower than 840, a FINAL FAIL STATUS is issued and no retesting is permitted.
To PASS, a student MUST meet 6 minimum standards: 1) No more than 07 hours missed in total with no absences on Day 1 or during clinical training; 2) demonstrated proficiency in specific skills and terminal competencies; 3) overall minimum cumulative score of 860 out of 1000 possible points by the end of the course; 4) minimum score of 215 out of 250 on final written exam; 5) minimum score of 215 out of 250 on final skills demonstration exam, and; 6) Payment in full of the total enrollment cost (balance due in-full).
The total cost of the program depends on the payment option selected on page 3 of the application form. In short, advance payment of the total cost achieves the lowest price. Please Note that we accept cash, checks and most credit cards (AE not accepted).
BASIC COURSE INFO
Clinical training is mandatory and involves a minimum of 23 hours of "hands-on" training with actual patients/residents in a long term care facility. The clinical session occurs at the end of the course. A strict instructor to student ration of 1:10 or better is always maintained. Please note that the starting and ending times for clinicals differs from the classroom/skills lab training and may vary with any individual course.
